Readers are not impressed with Chris Minns’ $16 million deal to bring Ultimate Fighting Championship to town.
After weeks spent foreshadowing new anti-vilification laws in defiance of a recommendation from the state’s expert legal body,Minns announced on Thursday that he will move to criminalise hate speech when parliament resumes next week.
Hate speech laws will be strengthened in the next sitting of parliament. Some of the reforms will be in defiance of the state’s Law Reform Commission.
