Despite feeding locals for almost a decade,Ludo doesn't rest on its laurels. Sage walls,vintage posters,kitchen accoutrements and shelves of gourmet produce create a cosy old-school ambience. A changing blackboard menu skips from breakfasts to late lunches with'petit snacks'for those wanting to graze and go. It's a danger zone for pastry lovers - think ham,cherry tomato and ricotta tart or chicken,asparagus and leek pie - though chicken meatballs or panini are also satisfying. Sweets (Portuguese tarts,cupcakes or friands) are a drawcard,as are finger sandwiches and mini salmon bagels. There are take-home meals too.
