This vibrant,Oaxacan-inspired restaurant brims with warmth and energy on a Saturday night. Terracotta pink tables fill with micheladas (a spicy mix of specialty brewed cerveza and house-made salsa roja),while diners peruse a tight,produce-driven menu. Jalapenos rellenos are a staple,charred over the grill and overflowing with pork sausage and creamy cotija cheese. The pescado taco is a multi-textured delight with golden,battered fish,crunchy sugarloaf cabbage and tangy garlic salsa atop a steaming hot corn tortilla. And to finish? The crowd favourite,a slice of tres leches cake with caramel sauce zig-zagging across a delightfully cold milky sponge. Another margarita or something from the artisan mezcal list are fine ideas,too.
