Established by Denis and Tricia Horgan in 1972,the family-owned Leeuwin Estates was one of the five founding wineries of the Margaret River District. The sleek restaurant,with its sweeping verandahs,bifold doors and domed skylights overlooks a tranquil meadow surrounded by magnificent karri trees. Diners drive,fly and even arrive by helicopter to sample chef Dany Angove's regional cooking,focusing on local asparagus,venison,lamb,seafood,berries and cheese.
