From outside it looks like a typical ethnic grocery store,but step through the brightly coloured plastic curtains and you're transported inside a Filipino kitchen. The bain-marie offers 10 home-style Filipino dishes,changing daily:the adobo,chicken stewed in vinegar and soy,is a favourite and available most days. Every other day there's sisig,pork fried then sauteed in onion,chilli and garlic;or paksiw soup,a mouthwatering must-try of fish fillet cooked in vinegar and garlic,with chunks of bitter melon. Leave with some unique groceries:salted anchovies,Filipino spaghetti sauce (it's sweeter) and Ding Dong mixed nuts.
