Filipino food isn't too easy to find in Sydney, with the exception of a few Filo takeaway joints at Blacktown, and this garishly decorated offering draws homesick expats and meat-loving Aussies to Lidcombe. Service is endearingly cheerful and the food is authentic and flavour-packed - great for sharing banquet style with a big group. Classic dishes drive the menu, such as the signature dish of crispy pata (deep-fried pork hock). Starters of sticky-sweet barbecued pork skewers and fresh spring rolls doused with garlic-peanut sauce get a wholehearted thumbs-up. The range of dishes does the homeland proud,as do their sheer size. Desserts aren't as good as they could be,but karaoke on weekends gets the Filo families extra excited.
