Weekends are busy at Australia's oldest continually licensed inn, with car clubs on day trips from Sydney and tourists drawn to the history of this region. When ordering,we were asked if we were Porsche or Jaguar - sadly neither. Meals arrive quickly considering the number of people here and the atmosphere had an enjoyable rev to it. The barbecued King Island sirloin steak or even the bangers and mash were preferable to anything fried (flathead or squid). We didn't bother to finish our chips. On the walls are some fascinating rap sheets from 19th-century prisoners held at Berrima prison next door.
