This understated Japanese experience is an oasis in the bustling eat strip of Cox's Road. Lunch specials and bento boxes are a drawcard,with steaming bowls of fresh miso,vibrant green piles of edamame and slippery slick,sweet teriyaki eel,unctuous agedashi tofu in salty-sweet broth and gyoza packing a hefty ginger kick. Decor is a little on the sparse side,but it's made up for with warm and welcoming service and topped off with a dessert of mochi (rice cake),filled with red bean paste,served with green tea ice-cream.
