With expectations raised,the wait for mains can feel Test match long,so start with spicy samosas with golden crusts and add a not-too-sweet mango lassi. A butter chicken (the ‘speciality of the house’) balances sweet and spicy as deftly as the latest Bollywood blockbuster,but don’t overlook vegetarian dishes such as tadka daal:green lentils cooked to a fluffy finish and flavoured with coriander and ginger.
