Comfort Qantas has introduced a new sleep service for passengers to get a better night's shut-eye:enhancements include a mattress placed over existing Skybeds and fluffy duvets instead of blankets. You also get noise-cancelling headsets,Morrissey pyjamas and fancy Kate Spade amenity kits. Special T2 well-being tea is also served;you could probably even ask a flight attendant to read you a bedtime story.

Entertainment There are more than 1500 options,including latest-release movies and international TV series on a 30-centimetre touchscreen.

Food and beverages Qantas has introduced a new food service called Select On Q-Eat,which allows business-class passengers to choose their meals online from a wider range of options on selected long-haul routes ranging between 12 hours and 72 hours before boarding. I prefer to order on board,though,and opt for chicken tagine with almond and preserved lemon couscous,coriander yoghurt and green beans washed down with glasses of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve.
