A dud on West End
A play at London’s famed Garrick Theatre in the West End,written by legendary playwright David Mamet? Tick.
Starring the great character actor John Malkovich? Tick.
Based loosely on Harvey Weinstein, and his role in getting the #MeToo movement started? Big tick.
Have to be fascinating! All the boxes ticked.
Instead,it was two hours of my life I’ll never get back again. Weinstein was no doubt grotesque, but two solid hours of it,leavened by nothing of particular interest, with Malkovich himself not that interested, made for a complete dud. Bah,I say! And harrumph!
