The Crime and Corruption Commission found there was no evidence Ms Trad had acted corruptly but after the decision was handed down Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced Ms Trad would be stripped of responsibility for the major transport infrastructure project.
"Cross River Rail is the largest infrastructure project in Queensland, and because she has breached the ministerial handbook, she will not have that responsibility,"the Premier said.

“Because she has breached the ministerial handbook she will not be having that responsibility."
Ms Trad had already voluntarily given up her control over the project when the corruption allegations came to light, and said she accepted the premier's decision on Friday.
“From the start I have admitted I have made a mistake. I have publicly apologised for this and I wish to do so again,” she told reporters in Brisbane.
"The Premier has a right to expect the highest standards from her ministers and I did not meet those standards."
