The Bombers star said he thought long and hard before making the trade request because he thought a move would freshen him up and give him a new start, but he understood throughout the process the trade may not happen.
"I just want to get out and train and train really hard and provide some real good leadership for this football club,"Daniher said.

"The last few years have been really difficult from an injury point of view and I felt a new start might help that. It's not to be and here I am."
Daniher becomes a restricted free agent at the end of 2020 but he said he was not going to look beyond next season, with his body and football needing his full attention.
"[There will be a] lot of speculation and hypotheticals about what next year looks like but the priority for me is getting out there and putting on a really good performance for this football club,"Daniher said.
Daniher conceded he needed to be more patient and diligent in rehabilitating his body, admitting he sometimes pushed the envelope too hard to return without having done the work necessary to ensure he was successful.
