Switkowski has been tested by health authorities and he and the club are now awaiting the results.
Wearing the No.39 jumper,Switkowski played 18 games for the Dockers last year. He has missed much of the pre-season with stress fractures in his back.
As revealed byThe Age on Monday night,a Dockers player was sent for precautionary coronavirus testing after experiencing flu-like symptoms having been in contact with a friend who had been in China earlier this year.
"The Fremantle Football Club advises that a player has been sent for precautionary Covid-19 testing after having contact with a friend who had been in China earlier this year,"the Dockers said in a statement late on Monday night AEDT.
"The player has advised the club that after his friend returned from China the friend underwent a 14-day isolation period,as recommended by the Australian government for all Australians returning from China.
"The friend reported that they had suffered no flu-like symptoms during or after the isolation period.
