Mr Obrecht said Canva had no difficulty raising money during the coronavirus pandemic with the funding round ten times oversubscribed.
"In the current environment there's a real flight to quality and with our business growing 100 per cent year on year in regards to revenue and monthly active users,there's no shortage of suitors who want to invest in us,"he said.
Canva was founded by Mr Obrecht,Ms Perkins and Cameron Adams in 2013 and allows anyone to design products,including greeting cards,posters,websites and presentation slides.
The design platform has over 30 million monthly active users and more than 3 billion designs have been created using Canva. It has continued to grow during the pandemic,hiring an additional 60 staff in Sydney to add to its 950 strong workforce since the lockdowns began.
Its most recent financial reports published by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission in March this year show the company recorded $86.3 million in revenue for its Australian entity in 2018,a 118 per cent increase on the previous year.
