As minister,I would love to tell every student that you will get to have your formal and end-of-year ceremonies. I am genuinely sorry that I can’t.
Like all of us,you have had to sacrifice things in response to health advice so that we can combat this pandemic and avoid a devastating second lockdown.
Birthday parties, weddings, funerals, sport, businesses and livelihoods have all been put on hold to varying degrees.

We do not know what the next few months will bring, but if there is a way to help you all celebrate more traditionally, particularly after the HSC exams,I will do everything I can to make it happen.
Despite enduring what seems to be blow after blow during a year we would all prefer to put behind us,students right now can take comfort in the fact that no other cohort in history has had the level of community support that you have right now.
We are here for you,and importantly, you are all here for each other.
