Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman said she was committed to"legislate against coercive control as a form of domestic violence"but was unsure if new criminal offences would be created or existing laws would be strengthened.
Ms Clarke's parents,Lloyd and Sue,have been campaigning for months for the state government to introduce laws around coercive control after Hannahendured the abuse from her killer,Rowan Baxter.
Coercive control is a pattern of oppression and can include emotional,sexual and financial abuse and Tasmania is the only state with legislation targeting certain behaviours.

The pattern of abuse was firstoutlawed in England and Wales in 2015,with similar legislation also passed in Ireland and Scotland.
It was first proposed in Queensland by the LNP earlier this year.
A bill has been introduced to the South Australian Parliament but is yet to pass and last month the New South Wales government announced a parliamentary committee would look at introducing similar laws.
