"I thought the yellow cards were harsh. I think Luna's second yellow and Scott's first yellow is not really a yellow,"Kisnorbo said when asked whether he was concerned about his side's disciplinary record.

"I am not going to stop players from doing what they naturally do,and that's be competitors. It's part and parcel of the game, you just hope referees see your way. It's not me,and it's not the players."

Kisnorbo will tinker with his line-up for the game against a Western team, which played out a scoreless draw its first game of the season against Adelaide nearly three weeks ago.

Luna, his ban served, will probably come back in,while Scott Galloway would be a natural replacement for Jamieson.

Ben Garrucio, who has played on the left side for most of his career, has been starting at right back for City this season and is expected to stay there,at least while Nathaniel Atkinson is out injured.

But Kisnorbo revealed that Japanese loanee Naoki Tsubaki, who is contracted to former Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou's Yokohama Marinos, could also figure from the outset.

"His attitude is great. He's been very good in training. Japanese players are very quick and technical,he has impressed us in that way,"Kisnorbo said.

"He's only 20 but I think he's a very good player. He can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger."

Yokohama is part of the CFG - Melbourne City's parent company - and Kisnorbo is keen to see further links between clubs within the group if the players concerned are the right fit, both coming into Australia to play for City and leaving City for other leagues.

"I think it's a start. We are part of a global group. If things like this can happen in the future I think it's great,"he said.

"Yokohama through Ange is a great connection, but I wouldn't bring somebody in just because of the connection,he has to add something and I think he does."

In that vein Kisnorbo was asked at a pre-match press conference whether Daniel Arzani, who had a meteoric rise from City reserve to World Cup player in his brief time at Bundoora in the 2017-18 season, could be on his way back to Melbourne.

There have been suggestions that he may be recalled by his owners, the CFG group, from the Dutch club Utrecht, where he is currently struggling for game time, and then loaned out elsewhere.

"If that option comes then we will probably talk about it. I haven't spoken to Daniel. I only need to worry about what we have here at the moment. I wish him all the best,"Kisnorbo said.
