Gallucci joins Nick Couroupis (West Adelaide),Josh Green (Marist AFC,ACT),Rhyan Mansell (Woodville-West Torrens),Derek Eggmolesse-Smith (delisted Tiger) in being invited to train with Richmond in the hope of winning a pre-season supplemental selection period spot. The Tigers have two spots available for players, which can be filled either during the pre-season window or via the mid-season draft where they famously plucked Marlion Pickett in 2019. Pickett is now a dual premiership player.

Gallucci had signed to play with Williamstown in the new-look VFL this year.

St Kilda have also looked to an Adelaide discard, offering a pre-season trial for ruckman Paul Hunter. The big man,27,did not play an AFL game with the Crows.

Hunter was set to play with South Adelaide in the SANFL this year. That club has lost a stack of mature ruckman to AFL clubs in recent years, with Hayden McLean,Michael Knoll and Keegan Brooksby (twice) all plucked by clubs in the national competition.
