The Blues are 11th on the ladder so far in 2021 with two wins and three losses, after finishing 11th in 2020. They have not played finals since 2013.
They face a season-defining four-week run playing the Brisbane Lions on Saturday, rivals Essendon the next week and then competition pace-setters Western Bulldogs and Melbourne after that.
Worsfoldhanded over the Essendon coaching job to Ben Rutten at the end of the 2020 season, having guided the Bombers as coach from 2016,through the tumult of their post-drugs saga era.
The West Coast premiership-winning coach and player will work part-time at the Blues to help the club’s coaching group.
Teague said he and Worsfold had maintained a close relationship since their time at West Coast, and that they caught up to talk coaching in the Queensland hub last year.
“I really rate his opinion and he challenges the way I think about things,” Teague said.
