Ratten said he would have a chat to King but leave the technical aspects in the hands of former Hawks champion Jarryd Roughead while former Lion Ben Robbins would help King reset himself for next week’s clash against the Western Bulldogs.
“Max is a terrific young player,” Ratten said.

“The real pleasing aspect is he played against some really good defenders, and he put himself right in the picture, and he got to great spots.
“He is going to keep looking but to have six shots at goals and give a couple off...he is going to put together, whether it is next week or in a month I’m not sure,he is showing everyone what he can do[and] he is not far off.”
King wasn’t the only offender with more senior player Tim Membrey also wayward early while Rowan Marshall missed the first set shot of the night.
