“He’s just so hard,he competes so hard. We saw it tonight. He ends up being able to get a couple of weeks of training and we’re hoping he keeps going with that. He’s a really tough player ... he just gets on with it,no excuses,just gets out there.”
Carlton coach David Teague admitted it was near-impossible to find a suitable match-up for Heeney. “He comes up to stoppages,then he rips back to goal. He’s a very good player,and he’s played well against us in the past,” he said.
