”I think, having done a similar review of the Crows a few years ago now,it’s a good opportunity to really sit down with a lot of people, find out what’s happening at the club, ask a lot of questions, form some themes and some views and then put that to the club for them to make whatever decision they need to make, with regard to their football department.

“It’s a really fascinating process. I’m looking forward to having a chat - we probably get started on that tomorrow broadly in terms of forming some methodology about how we go about it. But yeah, fascinating process and I’m looking forward to getting involved in that.”

Pavlich admitted he hadn’t seen Carlton play very much in 2021,outside of the games he’s watched on TV.

“You hear some of the narrative about their team,I think they’re scoring very well. I think some of the things defensively they might have to look at but that’s in terms of the brand, their leadership in terms of what they do off the field, sport science,” he said.

“It’s a pretty all-encompassing review that will take place and we’ll get an understanding of what’s going on and what needs to change,or what needs to stay the same.”

Pavlich was part of a similar review of Adelaide in 2019,which resulted in significant changes at the club.

Football boss Brett Burton and long-time assistant coach Scott Camporeale both departed after the review, while the club’s leadership and high performance departments were revamped.
