“We’re now looking at CCTV footage to see whether doors have been opened close to each other in time frames. We’re also looking at testing regimes,whether there’s a risk there.”

Health authorities reiterated that because the man was vaccinated,there was a lower risk of him having spread the virus while he was in the community.

Health Minister Yvette D’Ath said authorities were still urging people to be vigilant.

“What we have seen with this most recent case is six other people getting infected from one individual,” Ms D’Ath said.

“Five of those on the same plane and one in hotel quarantine,so it shows how infectious the new Delta strain is,which we are now seeing as the dominant strain across the globe.”

The update came as police said they had all the information they needed for a couple who illegally came across the Queensland border from Ballina in NSW.

On Monday Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said the pair had engaged lawyers after previously giving incorrect information to authorities during early stages of contact tracing.

On Tuesday he said the contact tracing process for the couple was complete,and police were considering what should happen next.

“We’re satisfied we’ve got all the information we need to undertake comprehensive contact tracing and our investigation into any breaches will be concluded later today and we’ll be able to advise what happens with that then,” he said.

“The investigation is done at an operational level and the decision to prosecute or otherwise is made by operational officers and I’m waiting for the outcome and advice from them. I’m not going to pre-empt what those officers decide.”

Queensland recorded no new cases on Tuesday,which authorities said was an excellent result given the recent run of cases out in the community while infectious.
