They urged motorists to avoid the area.

After 7am,the southbound lanes reopened after the trucks moved.

There were reports the truck drivers would again stop at Chinderah,in northern NSW,on Monday morning.

Senator Pauline Hanson was also spotted at the protest,known as the “Freedom of Choice” rally.

The protest comes after Queensland recently announced essential workers would need to be vaccinated to cross the border.

Federal employment minister Stuart Robert told theToday show “truckies are important”,but they shouldn’t inconvenience thousands of people.

“I get it,but we got to get stuff moving and we know truckies move around the place. We know public health is really important at the same time,” he said.

Meanwhile,Queensland police have charged a man over the alleged “serious assault” of an officer,while two others were arrested during a second,smaller,weekend of anti-lockdown protests on the NSW border at Coolangatta on Sunday.
