The case was the third COVID-positive truck driver to enter the state in recent weeks,after a Logan driver was infectious from August 28 to September 1,and a NSW driver was infectious on August 26.

The four-year-old girl was a close contact of the Logan driver. Dr Young said contact tracers were still working to identify close contacts at the Stylish Nails salon in Beenleigh Marketplace,south of Brisbane.

Dr Young said three or four customers who had been identified on CCTV at the salon were yet to come forward.

“All the five staff - the manager and the four staff - have tested negative,which is excellent,” she said. “But,unfortunately,there are still three or more patrons ... that we can’t yet identify.

“We have them on CCTV footage,but we can’t identify them through that. We do not have a name. We are working with police and with the Stylish Nails salon to try and identify those people.

“I am less concerned now that I have got information because the person who was in the chair next to the four-year-old girl has tested negative,so we have identified that person,and the gentleman,our original case,sat one chair away,next to the entrance.

“So,I think we’ve found the highest-risk cases in that salon,but I really would like to find those other three or four customers that we have identified on CCTV footage.”

Dr Young said a group of teachers and students who attended the Mount Warren Park State School had all tested negative so far.

A total of 34 of the 36 Windaroo State School students who attend after-school care at the Boulevard Early Learning Centre have so far tested negative,but the families of two young girls had not yet given permission for them to be tested.

Until this was done,Dr Young said the roughly 900 families would need to remain in home quarantine. If the girls returned a negative result,only those with links to the day care centre would need to remain isolated.

About 3000 people had already reapplied to enter the state as of Friday,ahead of an initial 50 rooms being made available from Saturday.
