Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said 10 people who were relocating to Queensland arrived on Wednesday,while there were 115 returning Queenslanders.

“There’s a further 206 relocators approved,and 109 returning Queenslanders have approvals to come back and we’ll have quarantine rooms assured,” he said.

“We’re processing another 200 or so applications across both categories,so that system has kicked in and is working.”

Last week,3000 people were seeking to enter Queensland while the number of people in the state’s quarantine hotels had dropped by more than 1000.

On Wednesday,7641 vehicles were intercepted at the borders,with 99 turned around,and five on-the-spot fines issues for people not filling out forms appropriately.

There are now 21 active cases in Queensland,with 13,560 tests performed in the past 24 hours.

Queensland Health delivered a record 23,889 vaccines on Wednesday,while Townsville,Mackay and Rockhampton will accept walk-ins this weekend.
