A public health alert has been issued after the driver was infectious in the state on Sunday,September 5,and Monday,September 6,before returning to NSW.

Contact tracing locations in Archerfield and at Westfield Garden City Shopping Centre in Upper Mount Gravatt have been added to the known exposure sites.

Thefirst recent case of a truck driver infectious in the community was a NSW driver who was in Queensland on August 26.

Thesecond case of a truck driver infectious in the community,from August 28 to September 1,was a person from Logan.

The third driver,who was bringing in a load of cars,was infectious in Queensland on Thursday,September 2,and Friday,September 3,before returning home to NSW.

On Thursday Queensland recorded one new locally acquired case,a 10-year-old boy who tested positive for COVID-19 in home quarantine.

He was the brother of the four-year-old girl who tested positive after becoming a close contact of the Logan truck driver.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the case was not of concern.

NSW recorded 1405 new local cases of COVID-19 and five people from the virus in the past 24 hours.
