The public health alert on Wednesday followed three new close contact sites identified on Sunnybank bus routes and at the Oxley Hotel,in Brisbane’s south,late on Tuesday.

The hotel,located on the corner of Ipswich and Oxley roads,was visited by a person who was infectious with the virus for two hours from 7.11pm on September 8.

The 866 bus route was travelled by an infectious person on the afternoons of September 8 and 9,from Troughton Road at Banoon to Pinelands in Sunnybank Hills. The roughly 20-minute trips began at 3.11pm and 3.06pm,respectively.

Three casual contact sites have also been identified across both days,including a Coles at Pinelands Plaza between 3.25pm and 3.45pm on September 8,and 3.25pm and 3.55pm on September 9.

Customers visiting the 7-Eleven on Pinelands Road between 3.35pm and 3.55pm on September 8 have also been deemed casual contacts. Multiple sites previously listed in the popular Garden City Shopping Centre have since been updated.

Other recent additions to the list,which now spans more than 60 locations linked tointerstate truck drivers who were infectious in the community andSt Thomas More College students and their families,include a 598 bus service in the area on September 9.
