“Queenslanders have done an incredible job all through the pandemic – the more of us vaccinated, the faster we can return to life the way it used to be.”
Queensland reached 67.38 per cent of its population fully vaccinated and 79.63 per cent having one dose on Monday.
Federal vaccine rollout data released on Monday showed 80 per cent of residents in all states and territories, except Queensland, hadpassed the first-dose milestone.
Queensland is expected to reach that figure in days. Meanwhile, averaged nationally and driven by high rates in outbreak states,80.64 per cent of Australia’s population has been fully vaccinated.
Yvette D’Ath told ABC Brisbane Radio that Queensland would hit the 80 per cent of people with first-dose vaccinations on Tuesday or Wednesday.
“So,my message to everyone is:enjoy this reprieve. We’ve done such an amazing job,” she said.
