“Potentially - I’m hoping so,” he said. “We hope that he can get himself to a place where he’s happy to step in and be a professional footballer again. We are hoping that’s as early as next week, but time will tell.”
McRae said he’s had several conversations with De Goey in recent days and is buoyed by what he’s hearing.
“Hopefully I get to speak to him tomorrow. Based on the conversations I’ve had,I think there’s some movement in terms of feeling better. I don’t know what that equates to yet,but there’s definitely a slight shift on his mood and hopefully I can catch up with him tomorrow at some stage and see where that takes us.
“We want Jordy back,he makes us better,at the right time.”
