The plans also include a publicly accessible plaza that links the Hills Showground Metro Station with the rest of the precinct.
It is the second Landcom and Sydney Metro project that Deicorp has received approval for, with work well under way on the first project,a 987-unit mixed-use project at Tallawong, also in the north-west,valued at about $332 million. The group is also developing a $700 million-plus skyscraper on the doorstep of the Atlassian-anchored tech hub in Sydney’s Central Station precinct.
Deicorp’s founder and chairman,Fouad Deiri, said the Sydney Metro Northwest is one of the most important pieces of transport infrastructure in “living memory”. The project will also achieve a five-star Green Star rating through its design of highly energy-efficient apartments.
