The Lions put out a statement on Saturday that contained another apology from Zorko.
Zorko went on SEN on Wednesday to attempt to express his remorse and admit he got it wrong, but was keen to outline there was back-and-forth sledging between the two teams.
“It was an intense game. From the first bounce there was to-ing and fro-ing from both sides of the fence. Players across the field stepped up to the line all game, and I acknowledge that I certainly crossed that,” he said.
“I just reckon it’s really important that Lions fans and fans in general understand that it wasn’t just an unprovoked sledge, and it wasn’t said in isolation ... it was to-ing and fro-ing for the majority of the game and remorsefully I accept that I’ve overstepped the mark.”
The veteran on-baller,who is out of contract at season’s end,has been combative in his past few matches as the Lions battle for form ahead of the finals.
When questioned about whether any comments directed at him during the match may have crossed the line Zorko said “potentially,” without elaborating.
