Jackson’s class in the ruck,at ground level and up forward have seen him described as a football unicorn, and Fremantle hope he will be the missing piece they need to win the club’s first premiership.
The 21-year-old played a key role in Melbourne’s 2021 flag-winning campaign, with his efforts in the grand final win over the Western Bulldogs particularly special.
The childhood Dockers fan is well versed about Fremantle’s success-starved history, and he’s determined to be part of a new flag-winning chapter.
“Hopefully we can bring a flag to Fremantle. The first one would be pretty nice,” Jackson said in his first interview as a Docker on Monday.
“With a young core and all really good players that are really driven for success, hopefully I can fit right in there.
“I think every team plays to win,and if it was next year, that would be unreal.
“There’s a lot of hard work to go,but it’s good to be aiming for.”
