Respected sports scientist David Misson is set to reunite withsenior coach Ross Lyon at Moorabbin as the Saints revamp their football department following the club review.
There are still details to be finalised, but sources confirmed he will soon be appointed as a head of performance at the club.
Misson was a key figure at St Kilda during Lyon’s previous period at the club, having been responsible for conditioning during their grand final years in 2009 and 2010. Prior to that,he was at Sydney as they won their drought-breaking flag under Paul Roos, having joined the AFL after working with the Australian cricket team. He then joined Melbourne at the start of an era that eventually led to the Demons’ own drought-breaking premiership in 2021.
However,he was not at Melbourne when that flag was won, having left the Demons had the end of 2019 to join his wife, who was working in Canada.
