Dodt said the bridge would be completed by July or August but not open until most of the resort was finished.
“We will open the bridge in conjunction with our official opening later in the year,coming close to Christmas,” he said.
“This bridge will probably handle around 10,000 people per day coming across,linking the two iconic and remarkable pieces of engineering.”

About 3.40am on Monday,project director Simon Crooks received a text message to say the 10-metre,20-tonne final span was in place.
“It was to let me know it was on its final run,” Crooks said.
“They lifted it up around 1am and put it in position and then checked it.”
