Sam Kerr’s hamstring was iced up following her substitution which was planned for at the hour mark.
Matildas coach Tony Gustavsson said Kerr was being managed and he expected she would be fit to face Ireland although he was coy on whether she was managing an injury or just a knock.
Matildas veteran Tameka Yallop was taken off with a knee injury after coming on as a second half substitute at the 60-minute mark.
Gustavsson said post game that Yallop wanted to play on but he convinced her to look at the “big picture” of being fit to play in the opener next weekend.
He said he hopes she will be fine and if it was a World Cup match she would have kept playing.
France forward Selma Bacha went down with a leg injury late in the game and was carried off on a stretcher.
French coach Herve Renard said post game that Bacha had a left ankle injury.
“It is her left ankle and I can’t tell you anymore as there is swelling and we have to wait for the exams,” Renard said.
“We need to be patient and optimistic.”
