“Jarome is a three-time premiership player who will obviously command interest on the open market and we have no problem with him investigating all his options if he needs to after the first of November.”

Luai recently left his previous management company,SFX,and has been unable to sign with a new agent until the 90-day termination clause expired. That ends over the weekend, with Luai able to appoint a new agent from Sunday.

Speculation has been rife that Luai is being chased by Black Money, the company that looks after Latrell Mitchell,Jack Wighton and Cody Walker, but the playmaker hasn’t confirmed whether he has appointed a new agent or if he will do a new deal himself.

On average,NRL players pay close to six per cent of their contracts in agent fees. If Luai signs a deal worth $800,000,handling it himself would save an estimated $192,000 over a four-year period.
