Canada win 1-0 in Vancouver

That’s the full-time whistle,and a 1-0 victory in Vancouver for Canada.

It’s a fairytale ending for Christine Sinclair, but it’s not an ideal finish to the Matildas year.

Plenty of questions to be asked - should Tony have made substitutions earlier? Should he have tried to change things up when it clearly wasn’t going their way? And should he have given them a fighting chance by fielding a more experienced team in game one?

Fatigue setting in for Matildas

It’s getting pretty hard for the Matildas out there.

Still only the one substitution for Australia, and Canada are now playing with five in the defensive line - no wonder it’s so hard to break through.

Fatigue has definitely set in for the Matildas now. Canada have made about five substitutions in this second half, they have fresh legs and more energy - Australia will be lucky if they get a shot on target this game.

Yallop has chance at goal

Australia finally get a chance at goal, but Tameka Yallop just nudges it over the crossbar after pressure was applied on both sides.

Tony is waving his hands in the air on the sideline,it looks like he’s conducting an orchestra. If I’m hearing things right,he’s telling the team to “keep going”.

Huitema testing Micah

Canada have talent coming out of their ears!

They’ve substituted three of their best players from the first half, but they’re still firing shots at Teagan Micah.

Micah survives an attack from Jordyn Huitema, but at the moment it’s all going Canada’s way - they have all the control.

Canada make more substitutions

Another substitution for Canada.

Nichelle Prince comes off,Jordyn Huitema comes on.

Still no substitutions for Australia, but Tony Gustavsson is pacing the sidelines. Is he planning on changing things up?

Micah frustrated as Canada apply pressure

Teagan Micah is trying to rally her teammates after Adriana Leon slipped through the defensive line with ease.

Leon makes a break down the right-hand side and sends the ball across the goal. It’s almost met by the boot of Cloe Lacasse, but the timing is just off.

Micah is looking a bit frustrated out there. More than once she’s been left completely exposed.
