Fire breaks out in Paddington house

A two-storey fibro house has been engulfed by flames in an inner suburb of Brisbane.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said the fire broke out about 10.15am on Sunday in the house,which was used as a share house.

"The fire was under control by quarter past 11am but firefighters reported the ceiling area was still burning until about 12.20pm,"he said.

"Firefighters found the fire well alight but it's still unclear what caused it."

Police said there was no one in the house at the time of the incident.

A QFES drone was used to monitor and assess the damage while investigations were ongoing.
