Paramedics treated six people at the site – on Kessels Road in Upper Mount Gravatt – just after 2.20am before taking five of them to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
They included three male teenagers – one with chest and neck injuries,a second with chest injuries, and a third with an arm injury – a man in his 30s with an injured arm,and a woman in her 20s with chest injuries.
Police said one person was initially trapped in a red Ford Ranger utility after it collided with a Subaru Liberty sedan at the Kessels Road intersection with Grout Street.
Initial reports suggested the red ute failed to stop to allow the Subaru to complete a U-turn at the intersection, where the speed limit is 60km/h.
None of the injuries were life-threatening.
