After 25 days of virtual public hearings,Victoria’s COVID-19 hotel quarantine inquiry finished on Monday.

In his closing submissions, counsel assisting,Ben Ihle, said the failure to properly train security guards, the lack of proper testing, and poor infection control rendered the hotels a feeding ground for the spread of the virus that ultimately caused 768 deaths and more than 18,000 infections.

In this episode,Sunday Age editorDavid King is joined byThe Age's state political editorNoel Towell to discuss what the inquiry heard and what to expect from November's report.
