A WHO emergency response has been activated after reports of nine deaths and 16 more suspected cases of Marburg virus in Equatorial Guinea.
The glove,which was worn by pop icon during his “Bad” tour was at the centre of a legal battle with the US government which tried to block the deal.
The cause of the blasts was not yet known. A defence official told television station TVGE that authorities had ruled out an attack.
Teodoro Nguema Obiang is the son of Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo,who has ruled Equatorial Guinea for 40 years.
