Singapore has recently seen an onslaught of new hotels, and it’s no surprise that these establishments have come with their own contributions to the city’s culinary scene.
The Mercure Icon Singapore City Centre is a case in point.
The new-build mid-scale hotel comes with six distinct dining and drinking options.
These start with the must-haves:Chara Brasserie,an all-day dining restaurant specialising in buffets, and a lobby waterhole,Klara Cafe and Bar.
But then things get interesting with the Singapore debut of L’antica Pizzeria da Michele,a Michelin Guide-listed Neapolitan restaurant that was featured in the movie version ofEat,Pray,Loveand which attracts long queues for its signature Margherita and Marinara pizzas in Naples.
The hotel is also home to La Table d’Emma, offering Alsace and classic French cuisine, and soon, when these venues open later in the year,it will offer sushi at Ashino, craft beer at Upward Taproom, and coffee at TAG Espresso.
