Gymea Hotel

The Gymea's bistro is at the rear of this big modern hotel,overlooking a good-sized beer garden complete with odd-looking fountain. Food was served with a smile early in the dining session but as the bistro got busy,the smiles became rarer. However,the food was excellent;as well as some pub favourites such as chicken parmigiana,burgers and steaks and even nachos,there are inspired extras such as chicken pad Thai - tasty,filling and mildly spiced. A generously sized bruschetta made a great entree and from the whiteboard specials,a char-grilled chicken breast on roast potatoes with Dijon mustard cream sauce was just scrumptious.
