Now thePitch Perfect star wants Bauer Media to pay most of the $1.4 million she spent fighting the case.
Ms Wilson was not in the Supreme Court on Thursday, but on Tuesday tweeted:"girls just wanna have funds".
The court heard Ms Wilson spent $1.4 million on legal fees and other costs incurred while preparing for the defamation case and over the 22-day trial.
Renee Enbom, acting for Ms Wilson, said the actor's lawyers and those for Bauer Media had each hired"costs consultants"who worked out how much she was entitled to recover.
Ms Wilson's expert believed she was entitled to recover $1.32 million, while the publisher's expert thought it closer to $1.12 million.
