The most recent death occurred at Baralaba,140 kilometres south-west of Rockhampton,on Sunday morning,but no more information about the incident has been released.
In a separate incident the same day,a man believed to be in his 50s suffered back and pelvic injuriesafter falling up to 20 metres at Collinsville Mine,close to 90 kilometres south-west of Bowen.
Glencore,which operates the Collinsville Mine,said the worker fell at the site's coal washery.
"An employee from Glencore’s Collinsville open cut mine has been taken to Townsville Hospital following an accident at the Queensland coal operation this morning,"the statement said.
"Our focus is on the care and welfare of our employee and we are putting in place support for the family and his work colleagues. The Mines Inspectorate has been notified."
A close-knit central Queensland town was left in mourning last month afterMr Routledge was crushed to death at the Middlemount Coal Mine on Wednesday,June 26.
Mr Routledge,who worked as an excavator operator,died when a wall collapsed onto his machine.
