The small town community was devastated,Golding public relations officer Peta Baldwin said.
The company's CEO,Geoff Caton,said it was working closely with the police and the state's Mines Inspectorate to conduct a full investigation.

CFMEU Mining Division president Stephen Smyth said Sunday's fatality was"the fourth accident in coal in the past six months."
