Bellamy's said the dollar target remained but would be"deferred ... beyond fiscal 2021"as the company was still waiting for Chinese authorities to give it regulatory approval for China-labelled organic products made at its Camperdown facility in Victoria to be sold in retail outlets.
Bellamy's said it was confident it would receive this regulatory tick, which it applied for more than 18 months ago.
At the moment Bellamy's organic products in China have English language labels and are sold via e-commerce channels or imported by daigou or travellers.
Despite the challenges of the past year chief executive Andrew Cohen said there were great opportunities in China.
"We've got a brand that's loved in China,"Mr Cohen said.
"It's an important process and we respect the SAMR[State Administration for Market Regulation] process,we're just being patient with the outcome. We certainly are very confident that we will be able to achieve it but it is a little longer than we had first anticipated,"he said.
In recent months Chinese authorities had been auditing European producers,he said, adding it was"good news".
