Coach Briony Akle's tactical masterplan was carried out to perfection. And with the vast majority of their squad signed up for next season,and several injured stars missing on Sunday,the Swifts believe there could be plenty more to come.
"We want to win this over and over again and I think that the Swifts have got a fantastic legacy,"Akle said."For us,it’s about celebrating this now and it starts all again in November. Hopefully,we can keep this team together and get a few more of these trophies."
It was a result that buried some significant demons for NSW at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Twice before they have played grand finals there,losing nailbiters on both occasions to the Queensland Firebirds in 2015 and 2016.

Trinidadian shooter Sam Wallace nailed 40 of her 44 attempts on goal to win the MVP award,but it could have gone to just about anyone wearing red,white and blue. Sarah Klau and Maddy Turner were imperious at the defensive end and Hadley was immense in the middle. All of them helped execute Akle's blueprint to perfection.
"We really focused on what their connections were and where we could shut them down. I thought we did that really early on,"Akle said.
